(1) AI-Driven Design of NLRP3 Inflammasome Peptide Inhibitors
Summary
My research focuses on the AI-driven design of peptide inhibitors targeting the NLRP3 inflammasome, a key regulator of innate immunity and chronic inflammatory diseases. Dysregulated activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome has been implicated in various disorders, including neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders, and age-related inflammatory conditions. To develop novel therapeutic strategies, I integrate structural biology with computational and AI-based protein design approaches. By analyzing protein structures, I identify key binding interfaces and hotspot residues involved in NLRP3 inflammasome assembly. Based on these structural insights, I utilize AI-based protein design platforms, including RFdiffusion and ProteinMPNN, to design peptide inhibitors. Ultimately, my research aims to develop novel peptide therapeutics targeting the NLRP3 inflammasome through structure-guided and AI-assisted design, contributing to innovative therapeutic strategies for inflammatory diseases.
