Project
(1) AI-Driven Design of AXL-Selective Peptide Inhibitors
Summary
My project aims to develop AI-designed peptide inhibitors that selectively target AXL. AXL is a receptor
tyrosine kinase whose abnormal activation is associated with cancer progression, metastasis, immune
evasion, and therapeutic resistance. To identify promising peptide candidates, I perform structural analysis and interface hotspot identification using computational tools including PyMOL, Rosetta Flex ddG, and mCSM-PPI2. Based on these analyses, AI-based protein design methods such as RFdiffusion and ProteinMPNN are used to generate peptide candidates. The designed peptides are then computationally evaluated for their binding properties, selectivity toward AXL, and potential inhibitory activity, with the goal of developing selective peptide therapeutics targeting AXL signaling.
