• Summary

Primary research is conducting analysis of chemicals(drugs) & protein-based materials (e.g. food, natural products, etc.) performed by LC, LC-MS or LC-MS/MS spectrometry. The subject of master's thesis is finding aspect of drug-chemical interactions (DCI) related to biocidal substance and cytochrome P450 (CYP 450) enzymes located in human liver. More specifically, the research method is testing qualitative and quantitative metabolites by LC-MS/MS which are generated by CYP450 metabolism. Suppose biocidal substances (chemicals) inhibit enzyme-substrate reaction, demonstrate that exposure to biocidal substances can negatively affect drug metabolism is the main issue.
