Summary
I am focusing on establishing a recombinant protein expression and purification pipeline using a mammalian cell expression system. This research includes cloning strategies, vector construction, and affinity tag-based purification processes to obtain stable and highly purified proteins. Using the purified proteins, I aim to experimentally validate their functions through analyses of protein-protein interactions using techniques such as BLI. Through this study, the project aims to improve the understanding of protein functional roles while providing a foundation for further structure-function research. In parallel, I am conducting a separate project on the analytical evaluation of impurities generated in synthetic peptide pharmaceuticals under various manufacturing and storage conditions. This work focuses on identifying impurity profiles, investigating their physicochemical and toxicological properties, and developing analytical methods for impurity detection and assessment. By integrating impurity characterization with predictive toxicity evaluation approaches, the project aims to contribute to the quality assessment, safety evaluation, and regulatory understanding of synthetic peptide therapeutics.
